Resource and references

OK, while I take my sweet time getting the summary posts up, here are links to the various papers/chapters we have talked about in class so far (or will talk about soon).

Sections 7.4 and 7.5 from Imbens and Rubin’s book spells out the conditions under which a linear regression model will estimate an ATE.

Cosma Shalizi’s book (chapters 21 and 22) comprehensively describes probabilistic graphical models and causal graphical models.

Balke and Pearl (1997) describes bounds on the treatment effect that one can deduce from an IV assumption.

Angrist and Imbens (1991) studies the IV estimator for estimating the ATT under a no intrusion assumption.

Angrist, Imbens, and Rubin (1996) develops the use of IV estimators for estimating “local average treatment effects”.
